Tomoyuki Kimura, discussed the Asian Development Bank’s new Strategy 2030

On Monday, September 17, Tomoyuki Kimura, discussed the ADB’s Strategy 2030 to support an Asia and the Pacific that is prosperous, inclusive, resilient and sustainable. Mr. Kimura is Director General of ADB’s Strategy and Policy Department.

The region includes fast growing countries that are powering the global economy, as well as some of the world’s most fragile and conflict affected states. Despite impressive progress in reducing extreme poverty, much remains to be done if the region is to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals.

During the presentation, Bernard Woods, Director in the Stategy, Policy and Review Department also discussed how ADB's future operations are supporting the Sustainable Development Goals.
