Visiting Fellow Enrique Seira

Enrique Seira was a "visiting fellow" of CDEP in July 2015.

Enrique Seira is an assistant professor of Economics at Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM). He has also worked in the Mexican Treasury, the Ministry of Economics, and the Mexican Central Bank. Enrique's research interests lie mainly in the development, applied econometrics, behavioral economics and industrial organization fields. His most recent work focuses on bancarization, government credit guarantees, and consumer financial behavior.

Enrique holds a B.A in Economics from ITAM and a Ph.D. in Economics from Stanford University.  He is also a research affiliate at The Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL) and founder of Qué Funciona para el Desarrollo (QFD), a non-profit organization that preforms rigorous quantitative impact evaluations to find out and disseminate which programs work to further economic and social development in Mexico.
