Achieving a Prosperous, Inclusive, Resilient, and Sustainable Asia and the Pacific: ADB’s Strategy 2030 Countries in Asia and the Pacific are changing quickly. The region includes fast growing countries that are powering the global economy, as well as some of the world’s most fragile and conflict affected states. Despite impressive progress in reducing extreme poverty, much remains to be done if the region is to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals. Tomoyuki Kimura, Director General of ADB’s Strategy and Policy Department will discuss the Asian Development Bank’s new Strategy 2030, and how ADB will seek to scale up its efforts to support an Asia and the Pacific that is prosperous, inclusive, resilient, and sustainable, while continuing its efforts to eradicate extreme poverty.
